JOB STATUS: Full Time or Part Time Contractor
Job Responsibilities:
- Interview individuals and others to determine level of functioning, treatment needs, assess safety risk for suicidal/homicidal ideations, make recommendations for care and determine suitability for participation in program;
- Complete and maintain accurate electronic clinical documentation and reports regarding individuals’ histories, progress, interventions provided;
- Provide counseling to individuals in care and family members on an individual and/or group format to assist in recovery from behavioral health and/or co-occurring disorders;
- Create treatment and safety plans based on clinical experience, individual/family interviews, treatment needs, and evidence based practices;
- Review and evaluate progress towards recovery goals identified and determine readiness for step down, discharge and aftercare;
- Conduct and/or participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings;
- May provide crisis intervention services as needed.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Experienced with Electronic Health Records
- Basic computer skills, drivers license
- Knowledgeable of state and federal laws associated with alcohol & drug treatment
- Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal format
- Able to demonstrate active listening and hope for recovery in interactions with others
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Documentation will be completed by end of shift on the date service provided
- Return all phone/email inquiries from individuals within 24 hours
- Obtain productivity standard associated with job status
- Minimum 95% clean claims submission the first time
- Completion of required training a minimum of 24 hours prior to due date
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Full GA licensure in Counseling Field (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) for at least 2 years
- Masters in Counseling or Social Services Field
- Minimum 2-3 years experience post licensure
