Stefania Patania Bruen
Registered Nurse
Stefania Patania Bruen is a Registered Nurse currently pursuing her education to become a Psychiatic Nurse Practitioner. Her first career was as a Software Engineer, which she pursued for 10 years before deciding that she needed to make a more direct impact on individual lives. As such, she went back to school in 2018 while living in upstate New York, attending SUNY Orange, the school that was first to offer an Associates program in Nursing. She started her healthcare career by working in a nursing home during the pandemic while still pursuing her Associates Nursing degree. In that program, she was positioned in a state-run forensic psychiatric facility for her final preceptorship, where she was first exposed to mental health nursing. After graduation, she began her RN experience working in Labor and Delivery at Emory University Hospital Midtown, then transferred to Mother-Baby at Emory Decatur. In her free time, she enjoys pursing her passion for lifelong fitness through mixed martial arts, cultivating her love for plants, and periodically returning home to Italy, where she was born and raised by her Italian father and American mother.
